Aspire Academy is established as an Academy Trust, i.e. a not for profit company and exempt charity in exactly the same way as all other academies in England and Wales. All Academy Trusts enter into a contract – known as the Funding Agreement – with the Secretary of State for Education. The Funding Agreement provides the framework within which the Academy Trust must operate. The ongoing funding of the Academy Trust is contingent upon the conditions in the funding agreement being met.
